Celebrating Innovation in Organic Advisory Services

Announcing the Winners of the Innovative Organic Advice Contest

Brussels, 4 November 2025

The Horizon Europe project OrganicAdviceNetwork is proud to announce the two winners of the Innovative Organic Advice Contest. The award recognizes outstanding advisory services that drive innovation, sustainability, and collaboration in Europe’s organic sector. Recipients were selected out of more than 40 submissions in two jury rounds.

The contest highlights successful and forward-thinking advisory models that help farmers thrive through new financing concepts, creative communication strategies, and impactful on-site assessment tools. The winners received their award at the Organics Innovation days in Brussels. The award was presented to them by Dr. Martin Schirdewan, MEP, at the European Parliament, followed by a celebration ceremony at the Organic House. The recipients are also invited to participate in one of the many cross-visits of the OrganicAdviceNetwork, next year.

Winners of the Innovative Organic Advice Contest:

Solawi - The Network for Community Supported Agriculture

The Solidarity Farming Network has been selected for its pioneering and holistic support of community-supported agriculture (CSA) farms. With a team of 24 expert advisors, the network offers guidance that spans from agricultural and business consulting, legal and organizational advice to social process facilitation.

For over thirteen years, their unique advisory model has empowered new CSA farms to take root and helped existing ones flourish. Beyond its technical expertise, the Solidarity Farming Network plays a vital role in raising awareness of socially and ecologically responsible farming, fostering a food system that is more sustainable, connected, and community-driven.

Chamber of Agriculture Normandy - The GIEE for Organic Low-Carbon Milk

The GIEE for Organic Low-Carbon Milk stands out as a shining example of climate-conscious innovation in dairy farming. Supporting a group of farmers across Normandy, this initiative helps implement practical solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing farm resilience.

Through measures such as boosting feed self-sufficiency with local fodder crops, enhancing soil carbon storage via agroforestry and hedgerows, and optimizing manure management, participating farms have collectively achieved an impressive 11% emission reduction in just five years. Through interactive group formats like joint on-farm expert interventions and field trips, the initiative encourages peer exchange and collective learning.

In the face of climate change, the group of farmers continues to lead the way by testing drought-resistant crops and advanced water management strategies, making it a true model for low-carbon organic dairy production across Europe.

We congratulate our winners on their remarkable achievements and like to thank all applicants for participation and work in organic farming, as well as our final jury consisting of Prof. Dr. Anna Häring, Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development, Prof. Dr. Alexandros Koutsouris, Agricultural University of Athens and Prof. Dr. Marco Springmann, University of Oxford.

Thank you to everyone for making our contest successful!
